I’m Katherine Connolly and I’m on a HR mission.  I simply don’t believe that HR has to be complicated, scary and full of jargon that every small business owner struggles to understand.  Together with my partner Jason, I set up Keeping HR Simple which is both our company name and our mission statement.

All too often we see employers who believe that employment law is weighted in favour of their employees. Funnily enough, the employees think the opposite! So, who’s right? If the correct approach to HR and employment law is taken, the answer is neither of them. It’s entirely down the middle. We are passionate about helping businesses to get policies and procedures in place which protect them and their employees.

I'm an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) and my particular area of interest and experience is in recruitment – I love helping businesses to get the very best person for the job! I also think that businesses should put time and effort into describing the job properly so everyone knows what is expected of them.
