The Keeping HR Simple Blog

A simple view of all things HR

Cookie MonstersI’m not quite sure how this has happened but suddenly my homemade cookies are legendary across the Twittersphere!  Perhaps it’s something to do with the fact that I talk about them quite a bit.  Ok, a lot.

Anyway, at the last Be Inspired event, we had a short presentation from Magpas about the work they do.  They explained that they are completely reliant on donations of time and money in order to maintain their core medical emergency services.

Jason and I thought we’d do something as a fundraiser and decided to make some sweet treats for the next Be Inspired event in July.  Yes, there will be cookies (I haven’t decided what flavour yet – see below).  There will also be Jason’s infamous buns (don’t ask) and possibly some chocolate brownies if I’m in the mood for making them.  So, question is – what flavour cookies would be most appreciated?  Having done a quick straw poll on Twitter, the options are as follows:

  1. choc chip and orange – the original and best
  2. ginger
  3. oatmeal and raisin
  4. cranberry and white choc chip
  5. mint choc chip
  6. Smarties
  7. coconut

For the person who suggested banana, forget it.  I don’t like bananas and I’m certainly not putting them in my cookies.

Please leave a comment and let me know your top two flavour choices.  I’ll make the ones with the most votes!  Obviously it would help if you’re actually going to the next Be Inspired event in Cambridge on 14th of July but even if you’re not, feel free to request cookies by post!

We’re really looking forward to raising some funds for Magpas so please help us by buying our cookies!

Sophisticated Cookies only please
written by Lady Moda, June 22, 2011
Because our customers are ladies of style we can only choose the luxury cookies B) Ginger and G) Coconut. If no one is watching we'd sneak a Banana one too, even though they don't appear on the list for some strange reason!

well, biscuits I know about.

so I vote for b, c and d.

A doesn't really appeal that much. I don't 'get' orange biscuits. Coconut leaves bits in your teeth. Smarties - would create the wrong texture and are too sweet. Best leave them to McFlurries. e? I always treat mint with suspicion. Unless it's in ice cream. Or tea.

There' I've voted. Can I go now?

a and b.
I don't think it is an accident that you have alphabetically arranged my choices numerically as 1 and 2.
They would be my choices but with a substitute of mint choc on the bench.
